Seijin no hi – Coming of Age Day
TOKYO, JAPAN – JANUARY 6: 20 year-old bus tour guides are given Japanese Sake from a Shinto priest at Meiji shrine as as part of their Coming Of Age Day ceremony on January 6, 2006 in Tokyo, Japan. The Coming Of Age ceremony takes place on the coming weekend, January 9 nationwide, but as bus guides will work on the weekends, they celebrate it earlier. In Japan turning 20 years old indicates the sign of being an adult where they can vote, smoke and drink alcohol.
